Massive Russian attacks on Kiev; At least 8 killed, over 130 injured

Ukrainian air forces have announced that Russia, on the night of July 31, launched 309 drones and 8 cruise missiles at Kyiv, most of which were destroyed by Ukraine's air defense.

Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, announced that in Russia's attacks on several areas of Kyiv, a residential building collapsed, and 12 children were injured; this is the highest number of children injured in Kyiv in a single night since the start of the war.

These attacks continue as Donald Trump, the U.S. president, has threatened that if Vladimir Putin does not agree to a ceasefire by August 8, harsher sanctions will be imposed on Moscow.

Meanwhile, Russia has claimed advances on the battlefield and announced that it has captured the strategic city of Chasiv Yar in the eastern Donetsk region; however, Ukraine has rejected this claim, and military analysts in the country have stated that the fighting in that area is still ongoing.

International media have reported that following Russia's recent attacks on several areas in Kyiv, eight people have been killed and more than 130 others injured.
