Security Council issues 15-day travel permit for Taliban's Minister of Culture

The purpose of this permit is stated to be for medical treatment. According to the United Nations, Khairkhwa will travel to Russia for urgent medical care.


The Security Council has previously issued travel permits to several Taliban officials who are on the organization’s sanctions list.

The United Nations Security Council has issued a 15-day travel permit for Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Taliban’s Minister of Information and Culture, to travel to Russia.
