Pakistani media: Afghan Taliban pays $43,000 monthly to family of Pakistani Taliban leader

The newspaper Pakistan Today wrote on Tuesday (28 Asad) that these financial resources are used for purchasing weapons, establishing military infrastructure, and organizing attacks against Pakistan.

The report states that the Afghan Taliban have assisted Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in establishing new networks for recruitment and executing attacks by providing safe havens and training centers in the provinces of Kunar, Nangarhar, Khost, and Paktika.

Pakistan Today also wrote that by providing safe havens to TTP fighters in Afghanistan, the Taliban have enabled them to reorganize, strengthen their command structure, and carry out cross-border operations.

This comes as Pakistan has consistently accused the Afghan Taliban of sheltering and supporting Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, though the Taliban have always denied these claims.

Pakistani media have reported that the Afghan Taliban regularly pay approximately $43,000 monthly to the family of Noor Wali Mehsud, the leader of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
