Trump: I will talk more about Afghanistan and Bagram

Trump said on Thursday (October 3) during this meeting: "We will also talk about Afghanistan and Bagram."

He provided no further details regarding his statements about Bagram Air Base.

During this meeting, while signing several executive orders, Trump said that he had rebuilt the US military during his first term of government; however, Joe Biden abandoned some US military equipment in Afghanistan.

He once again described the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan as "the most shameful day in the history of the United States."

Trump has recently emphasized the return and repossession of Bagram Air Base and has asked the Taliban to hand over this base to America soon.

He has warned that if the Taliban refuse to hand over Bagram, "bad things" will happen.

Trump has also emphasized the strategic importance of Bagram and stated that this base is only about one hour away from an area where China is building nuclear weapons.

Bagram Air Base was the largest US military base in Afghanistan until 2021; however, after the withdrawal of US forces from the country, it was evacuated.

The US President has previously repeatedly harshly criticized the Biden administration for abandoning Bagram and stated that this decision has been detrimental to America's security interests.

Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, in a meeting at the White House, referring to the rebuilding of the US military during his first term of presidency and the abandonment of some military equipment in Afghanistan, once again emphasized that he will speak about Bagram Air Base at the appropriate time.
