Feminist Foundation: Taliban restrictions threaten women's health, lives

On Friday, 29 Hamal, the organization, citing reports from international institutions, announced that the restrictions imposed by the Taliban have severely disrupted women's access to healthcare services, especially in the area of reproductive health.

In a statement, the foundation noted that many women seek medical care in emergency and critical conditions; however, in the absence of a male companion (mahram), they are deprived of receiving medical services.

The "Feminist Majority" foundation has emphasized that the continuation of this situation could increase the mortality rate among women.

In this regard, the United Nations has predicted that by 2026, the likelihood of maternal deaths during childbirth in Afghanistan could rise by up to 50 percent.

The foundation has called for increased pressure from the international community to ensure the rights and health of Afghan women.

The human rights foundation "Feminist Majority" has warned about the deteriorating health situation of women in Afghanistan, particularly following the Taliban's takeover.
