Pakistani army accuses Afghan Taliban of distorting reality

In the communique published on Wednesday, 23 Mizan, the Pakistani army called the Taliban's claims about initiating the attack "false" and described the capture of Pakistani outposts as "far from the truth."

According to the Pakistani army, the Afghan Taliban destroyed the Friendship Gate between Islamabad and Kabul from their side, and with this action, they demonstrated their disregard for mutual trade and the rights of movement for tribes on both sides of the border.

The communique stated: "During the repulsion of this attack, 15 to 20 Afghan Taliban fighters were killed, and several others were injured. The situation in the area is still evolving, and reports have been received of the gathering of fresh Afghan Taliban forces and the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan near the conflict zone."

The Pakistani army also stated that the attacks were effectively repelled, and heavy damage was inflicted on Taliban positions. In a counterattack by Pakistani forces on Tuesday night in the Kurram region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, eight posts, including six Afghan Taliban tanks, were destroyed, and 25 to 30 Afghan Taliban and Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan fighters were killed.

The Pakistani army further added: "Claims that the attack was initiated by Pakistan are unjust and blatant accusations, just like the claims regarding the capture of outposts or Pakistani equipment. The propaganda of the Taliban regime can be refuted by a simple examination of the facts."

The Pakistani army stated in a communique that Taliban fighters attacked from several points in Spin Boldak on Wednesday morning, and as a result of these clashes, 15 to 20 members of the group were killed.
