Spanta criticizes Germany: Accepting Taliban diplomats is a violation of human rights values

Spanta, on Tuesday, 31 Saratan, in a note on the X network, while condemning this German decision, said that accepting Taliban diplomats "disregards values such as human rights and women's rights."

He warned that this approach reduces Germany's policy toward Afghanistan "to the level of Russia's policies."

Meanwhile, the German government has confirmed the acceptance of two Taliban diplomats in the cities of Berlin and Bonn, stating that this action was taken "to facilitate the deportation of Afghan criminals."

Spanta also said: "The people of Afghanistan, especially women, will never forget what rights were taken from them in difficult times and who, on the international stage, collaborated with this oppression."

Spanta added that accepting Taliban diplomats is a violation of human rights values and that Germany, by accepting Taliban diplomats, has undermined its policy toward Afghanistan.

Rangin Dadfar Spanta, former Afghan Foreign Minister, criticizing the German federal government for accepting two Taliban diplomats, says this action amounts to the official recognition of the Taliban under international law.
