Israeli Defense Minister: Hamas must disarm or the 'gates of hell' will open

Israel Katz said: "Soon the gates of hell will be opened," if Hamas does not agree to "Israel's conditions for ending the war, particularly the release of all hostages and their disarmament."


He added: "If they do not agree, the city of Gaza, the capital of Hamas, will face the same fate as Rafah and Beit Hanoun."


Mediators have been waiting for several days for Israel's official response to the latest ceasefire proposal, a proposal that Hamas accepted earlier this week.


According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the start of Israel's military offensive on the Gaza Strip, more than 62,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of whom were civilians.

Israel Katz, Israel's Defense Minister, in a statement threatened that if Hamas does not disarm, "the gates of hell" will be opened.
