Trump raises possibility of multi-billion dollar lawsuit against BBC

Trump raised this issue on (Friday, November 14) in response to reporters' questions and said that the BBC had altered part of his speech and distorted the original content.

Following this controversy, the BBC network confirmed that the video aired in the "Panorama" program included edited portions of Trump's remarks and has officially apologized to the President of the United States. It is said that two senior BBC officials have stepped down from their positions after this incident.

Trump has also announced that he has not yet spoken with Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of Britain, about this matter; but he plans to meet with him in the coming days and emphasized that he has a good relationship with Starmer.

The report broadcast by the BBC included three separate segments from Trump's speech that were edited in such a way as to present a different picture from the original content. This editing led some to believe that Trump was encouraging people to riot on January 6, 2021.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, has announced that he may take legal action against the BBC news network in the coming days. He stated that the amount of his lawsuit could reach up to five billion dollars.
