Former CIA agent: Panjshir has become the largest al-Qaeda weapons depot in the world

The former CIA officer, on Thursday, 17 Asad, wrote in a post on the social media platform X that al-Qaeda has fully established itself in Panjshir, set up new camps, and that Panjshir has become the largest al-Qaeda weapons depot in the world.

She wrote: “Last year, I warned our government about al-Qaeda’s extensive presence in Panjshir, and I was told that my figures were too high.”

The former CIA officer warned that the misplaced pride and arrogance of the U.S. intelligence community and their questionable relations with the Taliban could lead to the deaths of many people.

This comes as intelligence agencies have repeatedly reported the widespread presence and activities of terrorist groups, particularly al-Qaeda, in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. Previously, The Telegraph also reported that al-Qaeda has continued to recruit fighters by establishing military training bases in several Afghan provinces.

Sarah Adams, a former CIA officer, reacting to reports about the Taliban training 500 al-Qaeda members in Panjshir, stated that the arrogance of the U.S. intelligence community and their questionable relations with the Taliban could lead to the deaths of many people.
