China, Malaysia step in to help Afghanistan earthquake victims

According to this report, these aids include tents and blankets and have been transported by a Chinese Air Force aircraft.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian government has also announced the dispatch of a search and rescue team to Afghanistan.

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, has stated that this decision has been entrusted to the National Crisis Management Agency and that discussions are underway for the deployment of army medical forces as well.

He added that non-governmental organizations and experienced volunteer groups in natural disaster management will also participate in this operation.

These actions are taking place at a time when Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Qatar, Turkey, Britain, and several other countries had previously sent their aid shipments to Afghanistan to support the victims of the recent earthquakes.

Media outlets affiliated with the Taliban have reported that the first shipment of humanitarian aid from China for the victims of the earthquake in eastern Afghanistan has arrived in Kabul.
