Shamshad Radio and Television resumed its broadcasts

The network stated in a statement on Sunday, October 19 (27th of Aqrab), that throughout its 20 years of media activity, it has always been committed to Islamic values, national interests, and journalistic principles, and has prioritized these values.

Previously, the Afghanistan Journalists Center reported that the Taliban had accused Shamshad Television of not properly covering the recent war between Taliban fighters and Pakistani military personnel, as well as Pakistan's attacks on Afghanistan, and of not defending the Taliban's position and its actions against Pakistan.

The Taliban have not yet reacted to this matter.

Shamshad Television is a private media outlet that was established and began operations in Kabul in 2005 with an investment by Fazl Karim.

Shamshad Television has announced that it has resumed its broadcasts after a suspension by the Taliban.
