Taliban announce discovery of 200 weapons in Paktika

The Taliban police media office stated in a press release on Thursday (2 Asad) that the seized ammunition includes weapons manufactured in India, China, Russia, and the United States.


According to the press release, the discovered weapons include 97 Kalashnikov rifles, 84 pistols, 7 M-16 rifles, 7 rocket launchers, and 4 PK machine guns.


However, the Taliban have not specified whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the possession of these weapons or what purpose the equipment was intended for.

The Taliban police command in Paktika has announced that more than 200 light and heavy weapons, along with a quantity of ammunition, have been discovered and seized in this province.
