Israeli forces seize more than a dozen ships of the Global Coalition for Resilience

According to international media reports, Israeli forces began intercepting the coalition's ships from late Wednesday night to early Thursday morning, October 2. During this operation, several workers and civilian activists from the convoy, including Greta Thunberg, the Swedish environmental activist and leader of the "Resilience" maritime fleet, were detained.

This maritime convoy is considered one of the largest humanitarian missions to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip, comprising more than 40 civilian boats and approximately 500 civilian activists who intended to deliver aid to the besieged population of Gaza.

Meanwhile, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur, and Gustavo Petro, the President of Colombia, had previously called for the "Resilience" maritime convoy to continue its journey without any interference or harm.

Israeli forces seized and took control of more than a dozen ships that were part of the "Global Resilience Coalition" aid mission to Gaza.
