Taliban publicly execute man in Badghis

The court stated in a press release on Thursday, 24 Mizan, that the execution was carried out in the Badghis stadium.


The press release noted that the execution order was approved by Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban.


The man’s identity was reported as “Ismail,” and it was stated that he had killed a man and a woman named “Dost Mohammad” and “Golbarge” by shooting them in the Jawand district.


According to reports, this is the eleventh instance of public execution carried out by the Taliban since the group’s return to power and the second case conducted in Badghis province.


Previously, the Taliban had executed ten other individuals in the provinces of Farah, Ghazni, Laghman, Jowzjan, Badghis, and Nimroz in the presence of hundreds of spectators.

The Taliban’s Supreme Court has announced that a man was publicly executed in Badghis province on charges of premeditated murder.
