Ministry of Justice seizes 1,400 acres of land from Taliban in Logar

This ministry, on Sunday (August 23), issued a statement saying that documents related to 1,406 jeribs of land have been sent to the central commission of this group for final decision-making.

The Taliban has established a commission under the name of Preventing Usurpation and Returning Confiscated Lands to address what they call "usurpation of government lands."

The Taliban say that so far, a large amount of land in Kabul and other provinces has been identified as government property and returned to the government's possession. However, the absence of impartial institutions to address people's complaints has caused concern; some citizens claim that parts of their personal lands are being confiscated and registered in the name of the "Emirate" by the Taliban.

The Taliban's Ministry of Justice has announced that more than one thousand four hundred jeribs of land in the city of Pul-e Alam, the center of Logar province, have been confiscated and registered in the name of the government.
