Migrant deportations continue; More than 14,000 deported from Iran and Pakistan in one day

The commission stated in a newsletter that these migrants were deported on Tuesday, 18 Sunbula, through the border crossings of Bahramcha, Torkham, Spin Boldak, Pul-e Abrisham, and Islam Qala.


The newsletter stated that 9,375 migrants returned from Pakistan and 5,257 Afghan migrants returned from Iran to the country.


The Taliban High Commission for addressing the problems of migrants stated that a total of 29 million and 56 thousand Afghanis in cash was distributed to these returning migrants.


The newsletter adds that out of these, 5,609 individuals were transferred to the provinces of Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan, Baghlan, Balkh, Samangan, Kapisa, Ghazni, Nangarhar, and Khost.


Based on the statistics of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, from the beginning of 2024 until August 27, 2025, more than 2.5 million Afghan citizens have returned voluntarily or forcibly from Iran and Pakistan.

The Taliban commission for addressing the problems of migrants announced that 14,632 Afghan migrants were deported from Iran and Pakistan in a single day.
