Following Washington incident; Trump: I stopped immigration from 'hell like Afghanistan'

The President of the United States made these remarks during a campaign rally in the state of Pennsylvania.

About a week ago, the United States government announced that all immigration-related processes, including the review of green card and citizenship applications, have been suspended for nationals of Afghanistan and 18 other countries.

According to U.S. officials, this list includes non-European countries such as Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.

In an official document explaining the Trump administration's new policy, reference is made to a recent security incident in Washington; an attack in which members of the National Guard were targeted and an Afghan citizen was detained as a suspect.

Security officials have stated that the detained individual is Rahmanullah Laknwal, 29 years old and an Afghan citizen who had received U.S. refugee status in April of this year.

Since returning to power in January, Trump has adopted stricter immigration policies. Following the recent attack in Washington, his administration has increased pressures and restrictions on immigrants, particularly Afghan citizens.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, says that countries like Afghanistan, Haiti, and Somalia are "hell" and that his administration has halted the process of accepting immigrants from these countries. He added that he would prefer to accept immigrants from countries like Sweden, Denmark, and Norway instead of those from Third World countries.
