Deadly attack in Australia; Sydney shooting attacker was from Hyderabad, India

Officials say he was 50 years old and lost his life during the attack on the Jewish celebration ceremony.

Sajid Akram's family has stated that they had no knowledge of his extremist tendencies or activities. According to police, he had studied in Hyderabad before migrating to Australia and left India in search of job opportunities. His son, Naveed Akram, was severely injured in this attack.

According to a report from the Philippine Immigration Bureau, two armed suspects linked to this shooting entered the Philippines in early November using Indian passports and returned to Australia by the end of the same month.

This shooting occurred during the Hanukkah celebration and resulted in the deaths of 16 people and injuries to more than 40 others. Police also found and defused two hand grenades in the suspects' vehicle, and a Syrian citizen managed to disarm one of the attackers. Officials have described this attack as a terrorist incident motivated by antisemitism, and investigations continue to fully determine the motives.

Indian police in the state of Telangana announced that one of the suspects in the shooting at Sydney's Bondi Beach, named Sajid Akram, was from Hyderabad, India, and had been living in Australia since 1998.
