Making money from Panjshir emeralds; Taliban sell 3,544 carats of emeralds

According to the provided information, these emeralds were extracted over the past two weeks from the mines of Hissa-e Awwal District in Panjshir and were sold on Tuesday, the 2nd of Jadi (January 22, 2024), through auction for $55,050.


According to Taliban officials, the emerald extraction process is currently ongoing in three districts of this province, and to date, precious stones extracted from Panjshir mines, valued at millions of dollars, have been offered and sold in the market.

The Taliban Department of Mines and Petroleum in Panjshir Province has announced that it has sold 3,544 carats of emeralds.
