White House: Trump still has all options on the table against Tehran

Steven Cheung, the White House communications director, told Fox News Digital that Trump has always emphasized his preference for a diplomatic solution; however, should Iran's terrorist activities in the Strait of Hormuz or against U.S. allies continue, all options will remain at his disposal.


Cheung added that after imposing sanctions that, in his words, have severely damaged Iran's economy, as well as 13 days of strikes against military targets in response to what he called Iran's "repeated aggressions," Tehran must work toward achieving an agreement through negotiation.


He warned that otherwise, Iran will be aware of the consequences.

The White House, in response to a New York Times report claiming that Donald Trump has set aside plans for a broad escalation of military operations against the Islamic Republic, has stated that the U.S. president continues to keep all options on the table with regard to Tehran.
