Massive return of refugees; More than 2,000 people entered Afghanistan in one day

According to information from this body, the returning families entered the country through various border crossings, with the largest number coming via the Torkham border in Nangarhar. Additionally, a number of migrants entered Afghanistan through Spin Boldak in Kandahar, Bahramcha in Helmand, Islam Qala in Herat, and the Silk Bridge in Nimroz, and according to officials, initial aid has also been distributed to them.


Meanwhile, the Taliban's Ministry of Refugees has reported that in just the past month, more than 241,000 refugees have returned to Afghanistan from three countries: Iran, Turkey, and Pakistan.


In separate statements from this ministry, it is stated that during this period, more than 106,000 people returned from Iran, approximately 1,600 from Turkey, and more than 133,000 from Pakistan.


These figures are being released amid ongoing concerns about the living conditions and limited facilities for absorbing this large number of returnees.

The Taliban's High Commission for Handling Refugee Issues has announced that in just the past day, 401 migrant families comprising 2,165 individuals have returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan.
