Resistance Front: We killed a Taliban fighter in Badakhshan

According to this statement, the attack took place on the evening of Wednesday, August 7, in the Bagh-e Shah area, in the Argo–Keshm fork region.


According to the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, the front's forces returned to their positions after conducting the operation, and no civilians were harmed in this attack.


The Taliban have not yet reacted to this claim.


Earlier, local sources in Badakhshan Province had also reported that a Taliban outpost in the Argo fork area, opposite Badakhshan University in Fayzabad city, was targeted by rocket fire on the evening of Wednesday, August 7.


This attack comes amid an increase in attacks by political-military groups opposed to the Taliban in Badakhshan Province in recent days and weeks. According to sources, Taliban opponents have launched attacks against Taliban forces in the Yaftal, Dara-yi Yumgan, Zebak, and Keshm districts, as well as several other areas of the province.


At the same time, informed sources announced on Wednesday that the Taliban, in response to the increased attacks by opposition fronts, are preparing to carry out a large-scale operation in Badakhshan. According to these sources, the group has deployed additional forces to the province, and several senior Taliban commanders are also present in Badakhshan.

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan announced in a statement that its forces, in an attack on a Taliban outpost in Badakhshan, killed one Taliban fighter and wounded another.
