CENTCOM: The United States has launched a new round of attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran

CENTCOM stated in its announcement that this operation was carried out in response to the Islamic Republic's attempt to attack U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East yesterday, and described it as a "decisive response."


At the same time, reports have emerged of multiple explosions occurring in parts of Iran. An Iranian state television reporter has reported hearing at least two explosion sounds in Bandar Abbas and stated that initial investigations indicate these sounds likely came from areas around the city.


According to this reporter, similar reports have also been received from Abu Musa and Kish islands, as well as from the Qeshm maritime area and the Strait of Hormuz.


He added that based on initial speculation, these explosions may be related to the activities of armed forces in the Strait of Hormuz area; however, their exact origin remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.


Meanwhile, the deputy governor of Hormozgan Province for political, security, and social affairs announced that around 4 a.m., areas around Qeshm Island were targeted in a U.S. military attack.


This local official stated that further details would be released after initial assessments are completed. Hormozgan officials have not yet provided additional information regarding the precise location of the attack or the extent of potential damages.
