Trump: Iran is no longer the bully of the Middle East

He emphasized that after this attack, Iran is no longer the "bully of the Middle East" and that before it, there was no peace established in the region.


Trump clarified that prior to deploying B-2 bombers to Iran, Iran's nuclear threat was serious, and the U.S. attacks on Tehran's nuclear facilities were completely precise and successful. He also regarded the elimination of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, leader of ISIS, as an effective action in altering the balance of power in the region.


The U.S. President also spoke about Greenland and highlighted the strategic position of this territory. He said Greenland is "defenseless" and that Washington cannot protect it merely through a lease agreement; rather, full U.S. ownership is essential to guarantee national and international security.


Trump added that using Greenland to counter potential nuclear threats is important and that he intends to build the "largest golden dome" in this region, which will even protect Canada.


He referred to the heavy costs of administering Greenland for Denmark and said the United States is the only country that can guarantee its security. Trump announced that negotiations to purchase Greenland are underway, without any intention of using force; however, he emphasized that Washington will not forget this matter.


Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary General, reminded prior to Trump's speech that allies should not lose their focus on defending Ukraine due to tensions over Greenland. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, also called Trump's proposed tariffs regarding Greenland a mistake.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, defended Washington's action against the nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, stating that this operation prevented Iran from becoming a nuclear power and escalating the crisis in the Middle East.
