Taliban calls Pakistani Defense Minister's remarks on Islamabad blast "irresponsible"

This ministry has described statements by Khawaja Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, following the suicide bombing in Islamabad, as "irresponsible."


According to the Taliban Ministry of Defense, despite the condemnation of the attack by the Taliban's Foreign Ministry, Pakistani officials have once again attributed this incident to the Taliban.


In the suicide bombing on Friday at a Shia mosque in Islamabad, at least 31 people were killed and 169 others wounded. Khawaja Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, had previously stated that the suicide bomber's travel to Afghanistan has been confirmed and evidence of ties and collusion between India and the Taliban has been obtained.


Enayatullah Khorazmi, spokesman for the Taliban Ministry of Defense, emphasized in his statements that this is not the first time Pakistani officials have attributed attacks and security incidents to the Taliban without providing evidence, and such claims "have no logic or basis."


He asked that if Pakistani security officials were able to immediately identify the perpetrators of this attack, why they could not prevent it from occurring.


The spokesman for the Taliban Ministry of Defense has urged Pakistan, instead of accusing others, to take responsibility for its own security obligations, review its policies, and instead of creating tensions with neighbors, pursue a path of interaction and positive cooperation.

The Taliban Ministry of Defense announced that Pakistani security officials, instead of fleeing from their security failures, should reconsider their policies.
