Violent crackdown on protesters in Iran; HRANA reports 100 dead and 2,500 arrested

According to this report, alongside the expansion of anti-government protests, doctors have encountered a large number of individuals who have been shot in the "head and heart of young people."


The protests two weeks ago in Tehran began due to economic problems and have since spread to more than 100 cities and counties across Iran.


The human rights organization HRANA has reported that in the course of these protests, more than 100 people have so far been killed or injured, and at least 2,500 others have been arrested.


Meanwhile, the United States of America, on Friday, January 8, once again emphasized that the killing of protesters will be met with a military response.


Donald Trump wrote on social media: "Iran is probably facing freedom like never before. The United States is ready to help."


On the other hand, Iran holds the United States responsible for turning peaceful protests into what it calls "sabotage and violent acts."

The BBC News Network, quoting Iranian doctors, has reported that hospitals are filled with the bodies of killed and injured protesters.
