Attack on Chinese citizens; British special envoy condemns deadly Kabul attack

Richard Lindsay, in a message posted on the social media platform X, expressed sorrow upon hearing news of the human casualties in this incident and emphasized that Britain condemns all forms of terrorist action.


According to him, in such difficult circumstances, supporting the citizens of Afghanistan is a humanitarian priority, and London expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims.


These statements were made after an explosion occurred on Monday, 29 Jadi (19 January), in one of the areas of Kabul city, resulting in the death and injury of a number of civilians.


According to reports, at least seven people, including one Chinese national, were killed and 13 others were injured in the incident, among whom women and children were also present.


The Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) has claimed responsibility for the attack on a Chinese restaurant in the Shahr-e-Naw area of Kabul, asserting that more casualties were inflicted in the incident—an allegation made without the presentation of independent evidence.

The United Kingdom’s Special Representative for Afghanistan has expressed deep regret over the recent bloody incident in Kabul, strongly condemned the attack, and stated that his country stands in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan.
