US State Department: Once again, it has become a center for organizing terrorist attacks

Voice of America, quoting the State Department of that country, reported that the Taliban administration has consistently failed to fulfill its commitments regarding the fight against terrorism.


The U.S. State Department added that terrorist and extremist groups are using Afghanistan as a safe haven and leveraging the country as a launchpad for planning and carrying out terrorist attacks.


Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry and the United Nations Office on Counter-Terrorism have once again warned of the increasing activity of groups such as ISIS and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.


The U.S. State Department told Voice of America that the Taliban have consistently failed to adhere to their commitments to combat terrorism and have allowed violence that leads to regional instability to continue.


Concerns among regional countries about the presence and activities of terrorist groups in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan have entered a new phase. Officials from regional countries, from Dushanbe and Islamabad to Moscow and Tehran, have repeatedly warned about the presence and movements of 23 to 25 terrorist groups in Afghanistan—a figure that has also been reflected in reports by the UN Security Council. Nevertheless, the Taliban have consistently dismissed these concerns and insist that Afghan soil will not be used against any country.

The U.S. State Department says that the Taliban's failure to combat terrorism has caused Afghanistan to once again become a hub for terrorist attack planning and organization.
