Ms. Saied stated in a video clip on Wednesday (December 16) that Zalala Hashemi's husband had spread false news, claiming that Zalala had been abducted. Ms. Saied added that Zalala's husband had confessed to this matter during a conversation with her.

Ariana Saied says that Zalala Hashemi, after marrying a man named Mohsen, was constantly subjected to torture, beatings, and cruelty, and was forced to flee the home due to her husband's violence. According to her, Zalala's husband beat her while she was pregnant and even broke her hand.

Ms. Saied added that after Zalala Hashemi's husband failed in his efforts to find her, he falsely told the media that his wife had been abducted in order to locate her again.

According to Ariana Saied, Zalala Hashemi had been able to officially divorce her husband three years ago; however, due to the problems in Afghanistan, she was forced to resume living under his oppression.

Ariana Saied emphasized that even now, Zalala's husband is trying to create legal troubles for her family and force Zalala to return to a life of violence. She also said that she is currently in contact with individuals to fully resolve this issue and expressed hope that these efforts will bear fruit.

She stressed that she is refraining from providing more details at present; however, if needed, she will share additional information with the media.

Zalala Hashemi rose to fame by participating in the "Afghan Star" program on TOLO television. News of Zalala Hashemi's disappearance was raised by her husband in the month of Gemini this year.

Previously, the spokesman for the Taliban's security command in Kabul, in response to reports about Zalala's disappearance, had stated that she had left the home of her own accord.
