Sources: Taliban raid former military homes in Aino Mina, Kandahar

According to two sources, Taliban forces entered the homes of several former government military personnel in the Aynomina area of Kandahar last night and searched their residences. The sources say this action was carried out due to suspicion of these individuals storing weapons and military equipment.


These sources also said that over the past two days, Taliban forces have raided the homes of some individuals in several areas of the Panjwayi district and searched the targeted locations.


The Taliban usually conducts such operations as part of security measures to identify and collect illegal weapons and prevent security threats. However, the searches of former government military personnel's homes have raised concerns among them and their families.


Since the Taliban's return to power, numerous reports have been published about the arrest, torture, and killing of members of the former government's security and defense forces.

Local sources in Kandahar say that Taliban forces have conducted search operations in parts of this province over the past two days, and have raided the homes of several individuals, especially former military personnel.
