Ashraf Ghani condemns violence against women in Herat and Pakistani airstrikes

In a message referring to the current conditions in Afghanistan, he emphasized that overcoming this difficult stage is only possible through collective efforts and the utilization of collective wisdom, so that the country can once again be placed on the right path.


Ghani also, in reference to the issue of peace, stated that when discussing national interests and the demands of the Afghan people, the matter of sustainable peace at both national and regional levels cannot be ignored. In his view, imposing the will of one group on all of Afghanistan will never pave the way for lasting peace.


The former President of Afghanistan added that the collective wisdom of Afghan citizens requires them to strive to find their "essential missing element," namely sustainable peace, and to prioritize it.


In another part of his message, he expressed concern over recent events in Herat and said that he is deeply saddened and grieved by the violent confrontations with women in this province.


Ashraf Ghani also condemned Pakistan's recent airstrikes and stated that as a result of these attacks, a large number of Afghan civilians have been killed and wounded. While expressing condolences to the families of the victims, he described this incident as a cause for concern.


According to him, this set of developments shows that Afghanistan is in a sensitive situation, and to overcome the existing crises, it requires solidarity, collective wisdom, and collective efforts.

Ashraf Ghani, the former President of Afghanistan, has warned that the country, after years of ups and downs, is now at a "crossroads of life and death" and believes that the main factor behind this situation is a crisis of legitimacy.
