Trump: Military option against Iran still on the table

In part of his interview with Fox News, Trump said that an agreement that is not to America's advantage is unacceptable. He emphasized that Iran and the United States are engaged in negotiations and drafting the text of the agreement; but according to him, "all the cards" are in Washington's hands.

The U.S. President also claimed that the United States has deliberately not targeted Iran's military; because he considers part of it "relatively moderate." He said that in some wars, a country's infrastructure has been completely destroyed and its reconstruction has taken decades.

Referring to Iraq, Trump added that America did not want to create similar conditions for Iran. He said his remarks about not targeting Iran's military might be surprising to some.

Fox News has announced that the full version of this interview will air on Saturday night Eastern Time.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, has stated that Washington holds a "very strong leverage" in negotiations with the Iranian government and that the option of military action remains on the table if the talks fail.
