Khawaja Asif: Taliban has become the center of management of India's war against Pakistan

Khawaja Asif stated in his speech to Pakistan's National Assembly on Wednesday that, from Islamabad's perspective, there is no difference between Kabul and Delhi, and Pakistan is now facing a common enemy on both its eastern and western borders.


He accused the Taliban of refusing to provide practical and written guarantees to Pakistan regarding the prevention of cross-border terrorism. According to him, India is now managing its war against Pakistan through Kabul.


Pakistan's Defense Minister also announced efforts to reduce tensions, stating that talks mediated by Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia are underway.


He went on to warn the Taliban that continued support for militant groups will have serious consequences. Khawaja Asif said that if support for terrorists, provision of facilities, and creation of safe havens for them do not cease, the only option left will be "open war."


In recent months, relations between Pakistan and the Taliban have deteriorated dramatically. Pakistani officials have repeatedly asked the Taliban to assure them that Afghan soil will not be used for attacks against Pakistan; however, the Taliban have consistently rejected these accusations and stated that Afghan territory is not used against any country.

Khawaja Asif, Pakistan's Defense Minister, says the Taliban have effectively become a proxy force for India and are advancing Delhi's war against Islamabad. He warned that if the Taliban continue to support militants and cross-border terrorism, Pakistan will confront them just as it has responded to India.
