United Front: Taliban members targeted in Kabul and Sar-e-Pul

According to two statements issued by the United Front in the early hours of Wednesday, September 2, the individual killed in Kabul has been identified as "Qari Aghagol." The front claims that Aghagol was a member of the Taliban's Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice and had played a role in the harassment and torment of Kabul's citizens. According to the United Front, this attack took place in the jurisdiction of the 18th Security District of Kabul city.


In another statement, the United Front said that the second attack occurred around 6 p.m. the previous day along the road to the Kohistanat district of Sar-e Pol province. The front has not provided further details about this operation. Taliban officials have not yet responded to the claims made by the United Front.


The United Front of Afghanistan had previously claimed that over the past month, it had conducted 43 operations against the Taliban in 14 provinces of Afghanistan. The group stated that as a result of these operations, 74 Taliban forces were killed and 35 other members of the group were wounded. Helal Kaker, spokesman for the United Front, said in a video clip that among the most important operations of this group was a direct attack on the Taliban's military corps in Kandahar, and among the largest operations was an attack on the Taliban's military base in the Nozad district of Helmand.


The United Front of Afghanistan, led by Sami Sadat, a former commander of the Afghan army, announced on August 1 that it had begun its military activities against "the Taliban and other terrorist groups" in Afghanistan. Since then, the group has published reports about conducting military operations against the Taliban.



The United Front of Afghanistan has announced that forces of this group targeted Taliban positions and members in two separate operations in Kabul and Sar-e Pol. The front says that in an attack in Kabul, one member of the Taliban's Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice was killed, and in another incident in Sar-e Pol province, one Taliban member in the group's Fourth Unit was killed.
