Pakistan returns nearly 3,000 more refugees to Afghanistan

According to statistics provided by this commission, the deported migrants entered Afghanistan via the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar province and the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province.


This commission has also stated that, at the same time, 140 other Afghan migrants were deported from Iran. According to this body, these individuals returned to Afghanistan via the Islam Qala and Silk Road crossings.


Although the process of detaining and deporting Afghan migrants from Iran has decreased somewhat compared to the past, the deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan continues unabated.


Pakistani officials had previously announced that, since September 17, 2023, more than 1,177,000 Afghan migrants have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan.


Meanwhile, a number of Afghan refugees in Pakistan say the intensified deportation process has left their lives fraught with anxiety, fear, and an uncertain future.


These refugees warn that if returned to Afghanistan, they will face serious security threats and risks to their lives.

The Taliban's Supreme Commission on Emigrants has announced that Pakistan deported another 2,869 migrants from the country on Saturday, 23 Jowza, sending them to Afghanistan.
