From Octagon to FNC; Vahedollah Najjand signs with Fight Nation International

According to the organization's announcement, Nezhand is set to enter the competition in one of the most competitive divisions, namely the middleweight category.


Vahidullah Nezhand has thus far completed 12 official professional bouts in his career, resulting in 10 victories and two defeats. Prior to this, he delivered standout performances in the "Octagon" organization and, with a string of consecutive wins, was recognized as one of the top fighters in his weight class.


FNC officials have also emphasized that Nezhand has achieved four consecutive victories in his last four fights, and his presence could add even greater excitement and appeal to the organization's competitions.


Although the 27th edition of the FNC competitions is scheduled to take place on February 7, 2026, in Munich, Germany, an official opponent for Vahidullah Nezhand in this event has yet to be announced.


Nezhand, who is counted among Afghanistan's well-known and leading freestyle wrestling figures, held his most recent bout on July 7, 1404 (solar calendar), in Hamburg, Germany. In that match, despite sustaining severe injuries, he managed to defeat his Tajik opponent, Shokh-Nazarov, by executing a "kimura" technique, thereby securing a valuable victory in his name.

The International Freestyle Wrestling Organization "Fight Nation Championship" (FNC) has announced the signing of a contract with Vahidullah Nezhand, a prominent Afghan mixed martial arts athlete.
