CENTCOM announces end of new round of attacks on Iran

The statement from this entity reads: "Central Command forces conducted strikes against Iran's military surveillance capabilities, communications systems, and air defense sites at various locations across the country. U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy equipment and forces utilized precision-guided munitions to strike targets in Iran that, according to this entity, posed a threat to American forces and international commercial vessels transiting regional waters."


Prior to these strikes, Donald Trump had announced that the United States would launch another wave of attacks, as the possibility of reaching an agreement with Iran had not yet materialized. CENTCOM has described these strikes as a response to what it termed "Iran's unwarranted and ongoing aggressions."


Yesterday, the United States had also carried out strikes against Iran in response to the downing of an American helicopter by an Iranian drone.


Earlier, Iranian media had also published reports about explosions being heard in various cities across Iran.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that American forces have concluded the final round of their strikes against Iran.
