Taliban bombard Juma Khan Fateh's positions in Nasi for the second day

Local sources say that the Taliban's airstrikes were focused on the Dolowakh and Khanis areas, near the center of Nasi district. According to local residents, the Taliban's helicopters left the area after bombing these regions. Images made available to us also show a helicopter flying over Nasi.


The conflict between Taliban forces and individuals affiliated with Juma Khan Fatah has now entered its fourth day. These clashes began on Tuesday after the Taliban moved to disarm the forces under Fatah's command.


During the four days of fighting, a Taliban military helicopter also crashed. Local sources had previously claimed that the helicopter was shot down as a result of fire from Fatah's men; however, the Taliban has stated that the cause of the helicopter's damage was its blade striking a pole during landing.


No reliable information is yet available on the exact casualties from the Nasi clashes; however, local sources say that during the fighting between the two sides, casualties have been inflicted on both Taliban forces and Juma Khan Fatah's men.

According to information from Taliban helicopter sources, on Friday, 23 Asad, the helicopters targeted the positions of Juma Khan Fatah, the dissatisfied commander of this group, in the Nasi district of Badakhshan with airstrikes for the second consecutive day.
