Rising Tensions; CENTCOM Announces New Round of US Attacks on Islamic Republic

According to CENTCOM, the objective of this operation is to reduce the Islamic Republic's capacity to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, and this entity holds Tehran responsible for the recent attacks on commercial ships and their civilian crews.


Simultaneously with the announcement of these attacks, Iranian media reported hearing explosions in several cities and southern Iranian islands, including Bandar Abbas, Bushehr, Chabahar, Konarak, Sirik, Lavan, and Siri.


Fars News Agency also reported that coastal missile defense systems in Bandar Abbas and Qeshm are engaging "hostile targets," and IRNA News Agency reported power outages in parts of Chabahar city.


This marks the second consecutive night that southern Iran has been targeted by attacks. Reuters News Agency reported that in last night's U.S. attacks on parts of southern Iran, eight members of the Islamic Republic's military, including air and naval forces, were killed.


Hours before the attacks began, Donald Trump, President of the United States, had announced that a temporary agreement to end the war with the Islamic Republic "has expired," and that the U.S. may target Iran again on Wednesday night.


Trump also stated that the recent U.S. attacks were in response to the Islamic Republic's attack on three ships. He warned that any new attack by the Islamic Republic would face a response "20 times more severe" and claimed that Islamic Republic officials seek an agreement. The U.S. President, in a conversation with reporters aboard Air Force One, also said that Islamic Republic officials are "sick" and added that he himself is at the top of the list of individuals threatened by the Islamic Republic.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that, on the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of this country, it has initiated a new phase of attacks against the Islamic Republic.
