Trump announces that the deal with the Islamic Republic has been finalized

These statements came after Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, announced the holding of an official signing ceremony for the agreement on Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.


At the same time, António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, welcomed the two sides' achievement of the agreement and described it as an important step toward the peaceful resolution of tensions. He said this agreement paves the way for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the continuation of negotiations between the parties.


Guterres also expressed appreciation to Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other regional countries for their roles in supporting the negotiation process.


On the other hand, the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic announced that the text of the memorandum of understanding ending the war between Iran and America has been finalized after months of intensive negotiations. According to this statement, all military operations and engagements in various fronts, including Lebanon, will be immediately and permanently halted starting tonight, and the naval blockade of Iran will also be lifted without delay.


The statement indicates that the official signing ceremony for this memorandum will be held on Friday, 29 Jowza, and negotiations for reaching a final agreement will continue after the implementation of the parties' commitments. This body also expressed gratitude to Pakistan and Qatar for their roles in the mediation process.


While U.S. officials speak of approaching a peace agreement, this process has faced criticism in Israel. According to the New York Post, a number of Israeli critics believe that this agreement overlooks Israel's security concerns regarding the Islamic Republic. The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth has also described this agreement as a "bad deal" in its main headline.


The Islamic Republic and the Trump administration have announced that they have reached agreement on the text of the memorandum and that this document is set to be signed by both sides on Friday.
