According to these sources, Romel Panjshiri had been active alongside Hasib Panjshiri over the past five years and was one of his closest and most loyal comrades-in-arms.

These sources have added that Romel remained by Hasib Panjshiri's side until the very last moments, and both were killed in a single incident.

The National Resistance Front had previously confirmed the killing of Hasib Panjshiri and several of his companions; however, it has not provided details regarding the circumstances of their deaths or the exact location where they lost their lives.

Sources close to the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan say that Romel Panjshiri, one of the closest companions of Hasib Panjshiri, a senior commander of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, lost his life in the same incident that led to the killing of this commander.
