Head of Pakistan Ulema Council: Taliban supports terrorists

According to Ashrafi, the people and army of Pakistan have stood together against the new wave of terrorism, and just as they confronted these threats in the past, they will defeat them once again.


These remarks come in response to the extensive attack by militants known as the "Balochistan Liberation Army"; a group that carried out at least 12 coordinated attacks in 10 cities of Pakistan's Balochistan province on Saturday, 11 Dalu.


The head of the Council of Islamic Ideology of Pakistan also accused the "Taliban regime" in Afghanistan of supporting terrorist groups instead of taking action against them, and stated that it has so far taken no effective measures to curb these threats.


He warned that such a situation is in no way acceptable and called on the "sensible individuals" in Afghanistan to pay serious attention to this issue.


Ashrafi emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand alongside the armed forces of this country, and that both the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan and the Balochistan Liberation Army will soon be eliminated.


These attacks, following the assault on the "Jaffar Express" train on the Quetta–Peshawar route in the month of Hut 1403, rank among the largest Baloch separatist operations in recent years.


According to a report by Agence France-Presse, armed attackers used light weapons and hand grenades to carry out nearly a dozen simultaneous attacks in southern regions of Pakistan early on Saturday, targeting a prison with heavy security measures, police stations, and paramilitary facilities.

Tahir Ashrafi, the head of the Council of Islamic Ideology of Pakistan, has stated that enemy elements of this country are present in Afghan soil and are planning to destabilize Pakistan. He has urged the Islamic world and the international community to take Islamabad's concerns in this regard seriously.
