Sudden death; Mawlawi Noman, Taliban's assistant intelligence chief, killed in Kabul

The Taliban has not yet provided an official explanation regarding the circumstances of this incident; however, according to informed sources, the initial cause of his death has been described as a "gas balloon explosion."


Meanwhile, a number of Taliban supporters have expressed condolences for Maulvi Numan's death by posting messages on social media. At the same time, some users and Taliban supporters have claimed that in this incident, Maulvi Numan's children were also injured and transferred to a hospital for treatment; however, independent sources have not yet officially confirmed this matter.


Abdul Haq Wasiq, the head of Taliban intelligence, is one of the senior figures in this group who was also active in the intelligence sector during the Taliban's first period of rule. He was detained by U.S. forces following the September 11 attacks and spent more than ten years in Guantanamo prison.

Reliable sources confirm that Maulvi Numan, a Taliban official and deputy to Abdul Haq Wasiq, the head of intelligence for this group, has died in his home in the Batkhak area of Kabul.
