Malala Yousafzai: Iranian girls have been fighting for their rights for years

She has emphasized that Iranian girls, like girls around the world, have the right to a life of dignity and to enjoy their rights.


According to Malala, the people of Iran have warned for years about injustices and restrictions; but their voices have been silenced under pressures.


Malala Yousafzai added that Iran's future must be determined by the people of this country, with the role of women and girls in this process taken into consideration, not imposed decisions from external forces or oppressive regimes.


She concluded by stating that she stands alongside the people and girls of Iran and supports their rights to freedom, human dignity, and self-determination.

Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize winner, has stated that the recent protests in Iran are the result of long-standing restrictions on the freedom of women and girls, and cannot be separated from the history of multi-year suppressions.
