Israel's air power boosted by delivery of three advanced F-35 fighter jets from the US

These aircraft, built by the American company Lockheed Martin, are part of the arms deals between Tel Aviv and Washington.


According to Israeli media reports, military officials in the country have emphasized that the delivery of these fighter jets was carried out in accordance with Israel's previous request and has no connection to the ongoing regional tensions, particularly the conflict with Iran.


With the arrival of these three aircraft, the total number of F-35 fighter jets in the Israeli Air Force has increased to 48. These planes, after a direct flight from the United States, will join Squadrons 116 and 140 of the Israeli Air Force.


It is said that these fighter jets are part of Israel's order package for 50 units, and previously, in the months of March and April 2025, six more of this type of aircraft had been delivered to Israel.


Based on the announced plans, Israel intends to increase the number of F-35 fighter jets, known as "Adir," to 50 by the end of the current calendar year. Additionally, according to bilateral agreements, a total of 74 of these fifth-generation fighter jets are expected to be provided to Israel in the coming years.


The F-35 fighter jet, which is considered one of the most advanced military aircraft in the world, is equipped with modern radar technologies, stealth capabilities, and advanced combat systems, and its production is exclusively held by the American company Lockheed Martin.

The Israeli army announced on Sunday the landing of three advanced F-35 fighter jets at the Nevatim Air Base.
