MP arrives in Moscow; Putin orders three-day halt to attacks on Kiev

Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said this order began at midnight on Saturday and is linked to the American delegation’s trip to Kyiv. Witkoff and Kushner are set to travel to Kyiv on Sunday to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy after discussions with Russian officials.


Trump has stated that his envoys are bringing a proposal to end the war. Zelenskyy has confirmed their visit and said Ukraine will not conduct airstrikes against Russia during the American delegation’s presence, urging Moscow to take similar action.


Nevertheless, attacks from both sides continue. Zelenskyy said Russia has targeted Kyiv and Boryspil airports, and in another strike on the city of Kamianske, four people were killed and several injured.


Washington’s efforts to mediate between Moscow and Kyiv face fundamental disagreements. Russia insists on the cession of four regions it claims and Ukraine’s exclusion from NATO membership, while Kyiv demands security guarantees. The three-day halt in attacks applies only to Kyiv.



Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, has ordered a halt to Russian attacks on Kyiv for three days, coinciding with the arrival of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s special envoys.
