Women's Freedom Network: Girls Pay the Highest Price in Five Years of Taliban Rule

The network stated in a declaration on Saturday, August 24 [2025], that over the past five years, millions of people have faced insecurity, poverty, forced migration, and the loss of a clear vision for the future.


The Afghanistan Women's Freedom Network has stated that during the five years of Taliban rule, women and girls have borne the greatest cost and suffering, emphasizing that their systematic exclusion from education, prohibition from work, and deprivation of fundamental freedoms is not merely a women's issue; rather, it is a profound crisis and a fundamental obstacle to the development and future of all of Afghanistan.


This women's protest movement has emphasized that Afghanistan will never achieve stability without the freedom, security, and equal participation of women, and without access to education for children and youth. According to the network, a country's future is not built by excluding half of society, but through the full equality of its citizens.
