Girls' Education Ban; Elon Musk Challenges Global Silence Over Taliban Restriction

Elon Musk reposted a video on Tuesday from Neda Mohammad Nadim, the Taliban's Minister of Higher Education, in which it was announced that even questioning this ban is not permitted until further notice. Musk wrote alongside the repost: "Where are the protests about this?"


The Taliban have banned girls' education beyond the sixth grade, and the group's Minister of Higher Education had previously stated that, just as the education of women and girls has been postponed, questions about it are also "suspended until further order."


This video was initially published by Tommy Robinson, the British far-right activist. Musk's repost of it also drew global attention once again to the educational restrictions on women and girls in Afghanistan.


This issue has received widespread coverage, and in addition to protests from human rights organizations and feminist activists, individuals like Robinson and Musk have used it to criticize global silence and leftist groups.


Previously, Musk had also criticized the world's silence by reposting a note on the X network regarding the Taliban's formal recognition of slavery.
