Taliban spokesman says 13 killed in Pakistani airstrikes on Kunar, Khost, and Paktika

Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, stated that in these airstrikes, civilian homes in these provinces were bombed. He announced that as a result of these incidents, 13 people were killed and 14 others wounded.


According to Mujahid, the victims include 11 children, one woman, and one elderly person among the recorded casualties. He published these figures in a message on the social network X.


On the other hand, Pakistani sources have claimed that these attacks were carried out against "terrorist centers and infrastructure" in the provinces of Khost, Paktika, and Kunar.


At the same time, local reports have also reported several powerful explosions occurring in these areas in eastern and southeastern Afghanistan.


As of this moment, Pakistani officials have not reacted to these attacks.


In response to this incident, Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, has condemned these attacks and described them as a tension-escalating action. In a message on X, he wrote that continuing such policies will be to Pakistan's detriment, and instead, relations based on peaceful coexistence and good neighborliness should be pursued.

Reliable sources confirm that Pakistan, in the early hours of Wednesday, carried out airstrikes on Afghan soil, targeting the provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika. The Taliban have also confirmed these attacks.
